HPE Day

Each year, the PDHPE Faculty at St Bede’s facilitates Health & Physical Education (HPE) Day. HPE Day is all about promoting active and healthy lifestyles. Although we were in Remote Learning for the day this year, we wanted to ensure that the students still had the chance to be involved and ran activities for the whole week. As always, we were blown away by the level of participation and so impressed that the students at St Bede’s didn’t let lockdown impact their ability to get involved. Below is a recount from one of our Year 7 students, Eve Power, on how she found the week of activities.

“In Term 3, Week 8, even though in remote learning, St Bede’s got all of us students involved in some fun and active challenges. I am an active person myself so I did a lot of the challenges including the Ultimate Lockdown Challenge, a Kahoot!, Physical activity photos and my personal favourite Who is St Bedes Fittest which is 10x push-ups, 10x squats, 10x burpees and 10x sit-ups. This was one of my favourite weeks of the school year and I was so grateful that the teachers in lock down encouraged us to get some fitness and be involved in some fun challenges.
